Drawing and Painting like a MADMAN!

Working on a lot of stuff and will be posting new work soon, but for now, here's a rough block in self caricature that I started last night as well as a screen shot of my Tim Burton painting . . . normally doesn't take me so long to finish a painting, but right now I'm in the middle of about 15 new paintings. Tonight I will be dusting off my oils and working on a couple oils that i've been working on.

Jason that glazed right eye of yours tells the story. The blessing of employment as an artist has its dues and you seem to be current with the payments. When I get to Chicago I'll have to pick your brain a bit on the Photoshop Palette. Amazing effort and product... oh yeah and of course the "Art!"

Totally incredible! Very good work. The similarity is total. I am doing cartoons of animals and mine and know the work that takes.

15 new paintings??!!!! Will you be coming up for air? The Tim Burton is coming along beautifully btw.

And you've reminded me I need a new self caricature as well.

yeah...that glazed gaze is one my weary spirit of late especially relates to...between teaching art, painting, writing music...daily having to separate priorities like some kind of traffic cop, not knowing if I'm coming or going. Someone referred to me today as one of those "crazy artists" and I responded to the redundancy of that remark. Like saying the "wet water" or the "dark blackness"

...yep, craziness...artists...and to maintain that regimen of producing as if it matters, when surrounded quite often by those numb to life not able to recognize ANYthing that matters. It nearly does seem crazy...but, I reach for another blank canvas just the same!!! hahaaa...

wonderful work Jason...you are an inspiration!

love ya

Muchos piensan que sólo hace falta el ordenador, pero sin talento, no sale este Tim Burton. Felicidades!
